Simon Populin
Simon practices primarily in criminal law, including all proceedings in the Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court. He also accepts briefs in inquests, commissions of inquiry, disciplinary proceedings, environmental, crime and asset confiscation and regulatory matters.
Before being called to the Bar, Simon worked in Western NSW as a criminal solicitor and in Sydney for a prominent criminal defence firm. As a solicitor, he had substantial experience appearing as advocate including in indictable matters. Prior to practice Simon was a Tipstaff in the common law division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
