Bio

Jonathan accepts briefs in all areas of the law. He has a focus on criminal law, commissions of inquiry and inquests.

Before coming to the bar, Jonathan was a trial advocate at the Aboriginal Legal Service. He appeared in appeals and trials in NSW and in the ACT Supreme Court.

In 2010 he was Associate to Judge Zahra SC. For the next four years, he worked in public and commercial law at Herbert Smith Freehills.

He then moved to the Northern Territory and became practice manager at the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Darwin.

In 2018, he returned as a trial advocate at the Aboriginal Legal Service. He was called to the bar in 2023.
